![]() I doubt if he'll remain in any kind of power once Lorgar returns to the setting, and I wouldn't be surprised if Lorgar tries to kill him and Kor Phaeron, not to mention what would happen if he ran into Kharn. Since then Erebus and Kor Phaeron have an off and on relationship where they laugh about old times and pat eachother on the back but at the same time keep trying to murder the other, but team up against anyone who tries to eclipse either of them, but as far as I know neither of them have left Sicarus which is a world that mirrors Monarchia but is devoted to the Chaos Gods and even the worship of Daemons and their servants and he's one of the ruling dark council who lives in the fortress cathedral of the Basilica of the Word. Lorgar was already meditating and batting away a pecky warp crow from his window every so often by then and so the Word Bearers ended up being split between Kor Phaeron and his host that survived Calth, Erebus and his host that survived the Battle of Terra, and Lorgar and his host that never abandoned him. After it was over he fled with the Word Bearers that also sided with Horus over Lorgar and went into the Eye of Terror and found his way to a Daemon World named Sicarus where Kor Phaeron already was. I don't really know what happens to him during the Battle of Terra, only that he was there and summoned an army of demons. Erebus gets a bit overconfident and orders Horus about who responds by cutting and peeling his face off, but that doesn't put off our favourite villain who decides to wear his own face as a mask stretched over his flayed face. This is when we get to Davin where he corrupts Horus and the rest of the Luna Wolves after he gets stabby stabbed by a Nurgle Cultist, and he betrays Lorgar by siding with Horus when Lorgar tries to usup the Warmaster. Now he does a lot of insane shit during this period, he corrupts the chaplains, gleefully murders anyone in the Word Bearers who doesn't convert (mainly Terran born marines), attaches himself to the Luna Wolves legion and begins corrupting their chaplains, sabotages Horus' deal with the interex, steals the kinebranch anathame, goes from world to world speaking to chaos prophets, ends up getting his neck sliced open as part of a ritual, learns to travel through the warp without a ship and a gellar field, murders our favourite daemon possessed Word Bearer for being his potential enemy in the future, gets his arm sliced off by Kharn but uses said warp travel trick to get away, summons the ruinstorm at Calth, tried to corrupt Sanguinius and plenty more shenanigins that I like to call the 'Happy Go Time Wholesome Adventures of Erebus'. When it comes to being made a Space Marine (I may be misremembering but I believe he's the first) he doesn't care if he lives or dies but prays to the gods to help him take down the Emperor and the Imperium.Įnter Monarchia, with Kor Phaeron he has been part of the secret society called the Dark Heart that has been spreading chaos cults to every world that Lorgar liberates, and during Lorgars crisis of faith, convert him to their cause and kicks off his story as the Hand of Destiny. When the Emperor lands, Erebus hates him already and decides then and there that one day he's going to fuck him up in the name of his gods. One day he learns that a demigod called Lorgar is coming to his city at the front of a crusade heralding the coming of "the one true god" he called The One, Erebus decides that Lorgar is his ticket to the top and is one of the first to bend his knee to him which cements his place in Lorgar's inner circle and guarantees his place in the Bearers of the Word (the space marine legion as well as the organisation that Lorgar calls his crusading army). One day his mother laments why he isn't more like Erebus, the up coming priest and pride of his village, which he also wonders why, so he murders him and steals everything he owns including his name and goes off to the city to become a priest.Įrebus isn't religious, he just wants an easy life with riches, harems and power, so he learns all the scripture and slowly but surely he feels something, and it doesn't take long before he becomes a zealous believer in what was essentially Chaos worship and rises to the top of the priesthood. ![]() So the guy that made 40k what it is starts his story off in Colchis, he lives in a dusty village where he spends most of his time torturing venomous scorpions in the hope that he either kills them or they kill him, which once almost happens.
